Steve Schirripa (Bacala) has been all over the place! I saw on Facebook, he cooked up some great food at Yankees Stadium, and I found some video where Steve appeared on "The Juice" and shared his sauce! See the clip here!

‘Sopranos' star Steve Schirripa brought back home-style Italian dishes with a twist on ‘The Juice,' Veria Living TV Network's live, hour-long lifestyle audience talk show featuring celebrities, food, fitness, fashion, beauty.

Steve brought delicious Italian dishes featuring his new, gluten-free, organic pasta sauce—Uncle Steve's Italian Specialties! The sauce, which is available in stores and online, takes Schirripa's family recipe and gives it a healthy kick, making it the perfect option to serve to family, friends or the entire audience of ‘The Juice!'

It's Birthday Time!!!!!! The best of wishes to Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts) for his birthday, and tomorrow, my Birthday Twin, Al Sapienza (Mikey Palmice) will be partying!

July 14, 2014

Happy Birthday wishes are extended today to Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy)!!!!!

I was just hankering for something to eat, and after looking at this website, I definately got some hunger pains. Having already teasted the sauce, I know how good it is. Steve Schirripa (Bacala) , recently launched a line of tomato sauces, based on his childhood memories of his Mother spending all day, stirring the pot making the Sunday sauce. Uncle Steve’s sauces come in 3 varieties: Marinara, Tomato Basil and Arrabiata Sauce.

These sauce's are produced in small batches using the finest organic whole Italian plum tomatoes, real extra virgin olive oil, vegetables and spices. The simplicity of this sauce makes it a versatile base for many Italian dishes. Ingredients: Organic Imported Italian Whole Peeled Tomatoes, Organic Fresh Onions, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Fresh Garlic, Sea Salt, Organic Fresh Basil, Organic Black Pepper. USDA certified organic, Non-GMO, Gluten free, and No added sugar.

There are several places you can purchase these products, on line via the website, or at several retail locations such as Whole Foods being one of them. Check out this link, to find a place close to you! Also, on the bottom of several pages of Uncle Steve's website, make sure you sign up for updates and get on the mailing list!!!!!

Jamie Lynn Sigler (Meadow Soprano) recently made a PSA spotlighting the plight of undocumented immigrants entitled ‘Broken Tail Light' according to the NY Daily News. The link to the You Tube video is here.

Enjoy the summer!

More updated news on Vincent Pastore's play "Wild Children"

When you thought it was good, it just gets better. Apparently some of the guys from the super group "The Rascals" performed on stage, Sunday afternoon, as part of the live music segment (live cutting edge music is part of the story line). And I've been picking up some tidbits, about some exciting things going on, in future shows. So, if you haven't called Smart Tix, and reserved your seat, time is running out and also the number of available seats is dwindling, so don't get left out in the cold (and snow), get your seats now!

I got word the the original members, of the group, "Street Kid" (yes the same band that performed at the original Crazy Horse bar, that Vincent owned in New Rochelle) will be playing at a special pre show on Sunday, December 22, 2013. This special performance, ticket sales will benefit The Felix Foundation, whose goal is to provide inspiring opportunities and experiences to enrich the lives of children in the foster care system. Help support this worthy cause, and attend the December 22 nd show. Check out Street Kids website and sample some of their music, its worth a visit!

Another fun thing that came out of the play is a movement making the December 15th, 3 pm show, a "Crazy Horse" alumni show. If you are still around, and were part of the escapades when Vinny had the club, get a ticket and join the fun!

If I hear anymore, I will update. The show closes on December 22, so treat yourself to an early holiday present!

James Gandolfini and Robert Funaro

If you haven't heard by now actor James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano) died suddenly today in a hospital in Italy according to Reuters. The world has lost a kind, gentle man who could portray a character that was so unlike himself. As many fans remember, Jimmy would gladly pose for photos, for those who patiently waited for filming to finish (and yes looking at my Facebook feed that was everyone of my firends and more). My sincerest sympathy and thoughts are extended to his family during this difficult time. Jimmy was truly a very special person and a tremendous actor, who will be remembered by not only his fans in New Jersey but fans world wide.

Many of the movies James Gandolfini starred in are listed here.

They say that KARMA'S A B*TCH! and on May 2 last year, Osama bin Laden figured that out .....

The Investigational Discovery channel is continuing that time honored tradition of karma with it's provocative new series "KARMA'S A B*TCH!" The host our favorite, Steve Schirripa, who played Bobby Baccalieri guides viewers through a delightfully devious world of unrelenting revenge.

From scorned spouses, upset exes, and deadbeat dads, stories of premeditated and meticulously planned plots are packed full of emotional intrigue, tension, drama - and a hefty serving of "what goes around, comes around." Accompanying each story are interstitials of Schirripa conducting his unique man-on-the-street interviews to ask unsuspecting passersby what they would do in the same situation. Introducing the most outrageous and innovative ways to get mad and get even, KARMA'S A B*TCH! premieres on tomorrow, Thursday, May 2, May 9 and May 16 at 10 and 10:30 PM (E/P) on Investigation Discovery.

The premiere episode on May 2 at 10 PM features three stories of brilliant retribution. First, a woman seeks revenge on her cheating husband by flaunting his infidelity and putting their house on the market with a sign that reads: "Husband Left Us for a 22 Year Old...House for Sale. Adulterers Need Not Apply." Then, when a woman recognizes herself as "the fat assed girlfriend" in her ex's novel, she gets even with a successful tell-all book of her own. The half hour closes out with a girlfriend who discovers her boyfriend is cheating on her with two other women - one of whom is his wife! The three of them gang up and lure the cheater to a hotel room with a frisky surprise - combining nail glue and his private parts. At 10:30 PM, KARMA comes back around with one story so epic, it deems its own half hour. Framed for crimes she didn't commit, karma begins to work in reverse when Seemona Sumasar is jailed after her ex-boyfriend sets her up. Behind bars for seven months and having lost everything, she is stymied until the culprit's new girlfriend turns informant and exposes his plot. Sumasar is now suing the authorities for failing to investigate the case properly.

Steve will be a guest on The Today Show on May 8, 2013.

On May 14 and May 21, Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy) will be a guest star in the off broadway play "Italian Bred" at the St. Luke's Theater, located at 46th Sy. and 8th in New York City. He plays the character of the Priest. Vincent's play, "Wild Children" recently completed a sold out run. Congratulations!!!!!!!!

I've been really getting into Steve Schirripa's (Bobby Bacala) new show, "Nothing Personal", on Investigative Discovery channel. For those that are bored silly with faacebook, you have to visit this page on th "Nothing Personal" website, PUZZLES!!!!!! This may just break that Bejeweled addiction I have. Lot's of fun!

Speaking of "Nothing Personal" the upcoming show this Wednesday, March 28 at 9 pm, I have some inside information, that this is gonna be a really good show (and don't ask my sources, remember I took that Oath of Omerta thing). The name of the episode is "Turn About Is Fair Play" and according to the website, this is the description:

A Vietnam vet who can no longer keep his demons at bay, Michael Kuhnhausen hatches a deadly scheme. But when his wife proves she's tougher than she looks, it's the hit man who ends up dead.

Susan Walters, a veteran ER nurse committed to caring for others, finds the man of her dreams. Michael Kuhnhausen is soft-spoken, attentive, and loving at first. But over 17 years of marriage, Susan's gruff yet gentle prince-in-the-rough mutates into a killer. A Vietnam vet who can no longer keep his demons at bay, Michael has become obsessive, paranoid, and violent, and when Susan asks him for a divorce, he hatches a deadly scheme. It's a story of greed, betrayal and a murder plot with an unexpected twist. When the victim proves she's tougher than she looks, it's the hit man who ends up dead.

Mathew Weiner, writer and producer of The Sopranos, critically acclaimed show, "Mad Men" premieres tonight after a 17 month hiatus on AMC network.

Steve Van Zandt's (Silvio Dante) show "Lilyhammer" which is availble on NetFlix, also has been getting awesome reviews, from my neighborhood reviewer of ll things good, Ewelina..

Adults Only,” a new web series about clerks working at an adult video and novelty store, is available for viewing on YouTube. The eight-episode series is written, directed and produced by comic book writer Jason M. Burns (“The Expendable One”).
Shot over a period of six days in Mansfield and North Attleboro, “Adults Only” stars Todd Poudrier as Chance Rioux, a former Olympic gold medalist who takes a job managing his brother-in-law’s adult brick-and-mortar store to make ends meet. Costars include Brian Austin Green (“Beverly Hills, 90210”), Brianna Brown (“General Hospital”), Danny Nucci (“The Rock”), Adrienne LaValley (“Alien Opponent”), former Skid Row front-man Sebastian Bach and Vincent Pastore (“The Sopranos”) as Rioux’s brother-in-law. Burns describes the content on “Adults Only” as being PG-13 and, with each episode clocking in at just less than 10 minutes, easily digestible for web audiences.

Congratulations to Robert Funaro (Eugene Pontecorvo) on a successful screening of "Broadways Finest" at the Garden state Film Festival.

The original Rat Pack evidenced such camaraderie of spirit and energy, and all these years later is remembered as a signature event in performance history. We want to create that same energy and evoke that spirit with some terrific performances, which Vince Curatola and I have designed. People have said to me, you can’t be doing the Sinatra-stuff … but, we are!” Curatola adds, “Who said The Sopranos couldn’t sing?”

January 9, 2010

Welcome to the New Year!

I have a very important event for next Friday night, January 15.

Soprano's Cast Members are joining forces in January to help support two of their own, Tony LipCarmine Lupertazzi, Sr” and Denise Borino-QuinnGinny Sack” at a star studded Soprano Family Night hosted by Vincent “Big Pussy” Pastore and featuring Friars Club Roastmaster Jeff Pirrami on January 15, 2010. The entire Soprano cast has been invited and there is an oath of omerta which prohibits me from saying who will be there. I personally am donating some really unusual memorabilia from my personal collection, which will be auctioned off that night.

Lip, who has starred in dozens of movies, has been of failing health for two years after developing diabetes and arthritis and is now in a permanent health care facility. Lip is a true one-of-a-kind character. After 12 years of working at the world famous Copacabana nightclub in New York City, where he played host to famous personalities like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Bobby Darin, Tony Lip went on to a career in acting. His first big break happened when he was cast in the hit film, The Godfather . Tony's acting career really took off, and he appeared in major motion pictures like Crazy Joe, The Pope of Greenwich Village, The Year of the Dragon, Honor Thy Father, Goodfellas and Donnie Brasco .

Borino-Quinn, who was chosen for her role from a group of 1500 actresses who auditioned, was diagnosed in November with stage four liver cancer. She also is a legal secretary at Hoagland/Longo Law Firm in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Both are New Jersey residents and are battling their ailments in every way they can.

When Vincent Pastore and Catch a Rising Star Club Owner Suzy Yengo heard of the needs of both cast members who are friends and associates of both, they decided they needed to rise to the occasion and put together a fundraiser to help defray the costs of healthcare and living expenses. Pastore said “I love Tony and Denise and I will do anything I can to help make this night a success for them. They've always been good to me”. Here's the scoop

I recently received this email and I expect to see everyone there (I'll be the one in the fortune tellers booth). I also will be donating some of my extra unique Sopranos Memoriabilia (aka the Soprano Sue collection) to be auctioned to raise money to help 2 of my favorite cast members (I am the president of the Ginny Sack fan club).

Dear Soprano Family;
Please join our family and friends to help two of our very own Soprano's Cast Members, Tony Lip "Carmine Lupertazzi, Sr." and Denise Borino Quinn, "Ginny Sack".

Tony has been ill with Diabetes and is now in a special care facility. Denise was diagnosed with Stage Four Liver Cancer last month. We all know them and love them and its time we helped our own if we can - - and this fundraiser is all about helping them in their time of need.
