An Interview with Vincent Pastore Vincent Pastore played the character of Big Pussy Salvatore Bompensiero in the first three season of The Sopranos.
Big Pussy was truly Tony Soprano's (James Gandolfini) best friend until............after a fitful night digesting some Indian Cuisine, Tony decided to do some investigating of his own about the murmurings of the possibility that Big Pussy had betrayed Tony's trust by cooperating with the FBI.
I recently ran into Vincent Pastore, the talented actor who played this character and got a opportunity to ask him a few questions with some help from my buddy Stu from Stu Cazzo.com What day is your Birthday? July 14, 1946
You have not always been an actor, acting for you is something that come to you later
in life. What other unusual jobs have you held in the past? I was an owner of Night Clubs from 1967 thru 1987

In your acting career, what roles do you find most challenging?
The roles I find challenging are those that allow me to stretch. I also enjoy playing characters that I normally would be cast in.

You are presently working on “Return to Sleepaway Camp, kids can be so mean”
and being filmed in Pennsylvania, are you starting to get attached to the area
I really like the area and I am considering purchasing some property up in the area.
You have acted on “One Life to Live” has that made you a fan of daytime soap operas?
Yes, I’ve been getting fan mail about these appearances.
You’ve done film, television series and also appeared with Maureen Van Zandt
in theatrical productions, which do you find most rewarding?
Theatre and The Sopranos
You’ve also appeared in the NBC program “Ed”, do you find that cities in
North Jersey receptive to motion picture production?
Yes, very much
What do you enjoy about filming in the State of New Jersey?
There’s lots to see and plenty of work there, especially with The Sopranos and This Thing of Ours,
which recently opened in theatres.
They are proposing a huge motion picture production complex in Secaucus, New Jersey,
do you feel this is a good idea, considering the vast numbers of available talent, that reside
in the metropolitan area?
Yes
