No Soap Radio Introducing the newest hottest band to play at Adriana's Crazy Horse Club! What was it like performing for the Sopranos? Jimmy: It was a little overwhelming at first. There was so much to take in at once. Thank God we had Mike (our PA) to keep an eye on us and take us everywhere we needed to be. The day Rocked! Chris: All in all the whole day was unbelievable. Something we won’t forget. Check out our website at http://www.nosoapradio.net for our "Day On The Set" article. Where can people get your CD? Online at http://www.nosoapradio.net and coming soon…Compact Disc Worlds throughout NJ How long has No Soap Radio been together? Since mid 1998 What are your musical influences? Funny question…Hard to answer. Each of us is individually influenced by very different musicians and bands. I guess that’s what makes us sound unique yet still in the vein of what’s going on "out there." What is the name of the song you play on the Sopranos? "All About You" How did you manage to get on the Sopranos? And HUGE "Thank You" to David Chase. Sometimes in this business it’s not how "good" you are but it’s "who" you know. Where are all the band members originally from? New Jersey…born and raised baby. Will you be releasing any singles/albums in Australia, Canada or Britain? That would be cool. Sounds good to us! (No plans on that…YET.) What kind of music do you sing? Rock/Punk/Pop Are you playing in the NY Area soon? We’ll be booking some gigs for late October, November, In that area. But we’re always playing in NJ. Check the website "Shows" page for updates. What was your favorite moment on the set of the Sopranos? Jimmy: Meeting/talking to Little Steven. Chris: Definitely. That’s pretty huge coming from a bunch of "Jersey musicians" And just being part of the entire process. Meeting and hanging with the entire cast. Who I have to say are some of the most down to Earth "stars" you’ll ever meet in this "business." They made "our" job so easy. I know one thing’s for sure…I love to do it again sometime. If you were stuck on a deserted island, what would be the only CD your would bring? Another tough question. Jimmy: Knapsack’s "This Conversation is Ending" Chris: Jimmy Eat World "Clarity" Then again you can never go wrong with ANY Beatles CD either. How did you come up with the name “No Soap Radio? Walt’s friend came up with the name. Walt mentioned it at a gig and we said "cool. That’s the new name." Poor Walt, I think he was just kidding! Where was the one place that you would like to visit, one of these days? Jimmy: Ireland Chris: Have to get back to Maui someday! What do you see yourselves doing in 10 years? Jimmy:: Rockin’ out in a wheelchair on stage! Chris: Nice!
